I've been reading Louie Giglio's book The Air I Breathe and discussing it in our team discipleship. I have really learned a lot about taking worship out of the box that I have created for it. In the past, my view of worship has consisted of Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, praise bands, and lots of people around me. I know now that worship is so much more than that. Worship is an all the time thing that should be consumed with our every thought and all of our actions. Everything that we do is worship; whether we are worshiping God or other things in our lives like our friends or music or even sleeping. I really have been realizing that everything that I do I should be worshiping God. Our team split up into groups and we all had to do ordinary daily tasks some had to go to the store, some went to a little café, and my group cleaned the porch of the house. Ordinarily I would have despised cleaning anything, but I really enjoyed it and it didn't seem like I was really having to work because I was doing it for Jesus. I have really been trying to do everything with a positive attitude and knowing that because I am choosing to do what ever is right I'm worshiping God. I now know that my days are filled with opportunities to worship God and I just have to make the decision to do surrender everything to Him. You never know when you might be impacting someone's life for better or for worse.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
