Saturday I stopped by Gloria's house the lady from the "A woman in need of prayer" blog just to say hello. I could tell she had been drinking but she said she wanted to talk to me so we went outside. She began telling me she had absolutely no food in her house and she didn't know what she was going to do. I began telling her that all she needed to so was trust in God to provide for her and her family and she would be ok. We kept talking and she just didn't really seem to believe that God could really help her. I asked her if she had ever accepted Jesus into her heart as her personal savior and she sort of ignored me then I asked her again and she timidly looked at the ground and said no she hadn't. I asked her if she wanted to go in the house and pray and we did. She asked the Lord to come into her life and truly it was such an incredible moment. There were two other women in the house and really I think they were sent by the Lord. One was continually speaking God's truths to Gloria and the other lady was sitting next to me singing Open the eyes of my heart Lord! Everyone was crying and it was remarkable to see the Lord really working on someone's heart the way he did with Gloria. She asked me to take her to church with me Sunday morning and I could tell that this had really affected something deep in her heart. The Lord had placed Gloria on my heart quite a bit in the past few weeks and not really knowing why I was praying for her Saturday made it all clear to me. I am so thankful that the Lord used me to help reach Gloria and even if she is the only person that I ever helped come to know the Lord I will be ok with that. Please pray for Gloria as I know she will be struggling with so many things and as she battles alcoholism and putting her trust in the Lord.
